I am certainly among Saizeriya's fans, and I truly appreciate the knowledge shared here! :)

Very interesting article.

However as someone who has personally worked in Saizeriya Japan. The work as a staff member is incredibly tough. Due to the multitude of roles a single staff member must perform as well as controlling managers breathing down your throat.

Never the less, a good view into the inner workings!

Sorry to hear it was a micromanage situation. This post was not sponsored, and I'm sure these problems need addressing

Saizeriya is for people who enjoy not-too-bad food for cheap. It's a "family restaurant," as they call diner-style restaurant chains in Japan, with an Italian theme and vaguely Italian food.

The key word here is "cheap." Even the paintings on the walls look cheap.

And I would be offended if someone took me to Saize on a date.

Apart from that, great story!

Wow! I’ve seen Saizeriya all over Taipei and now I’m super curious to try! Maybe I’ll have lunch there today.

I didn’t know about the one yen price rise to avoid infections. What a great rationale for raking in a bit more profit!
