To my 200 favourite subscribers, I just want to celebrate and thank you!
Hidden Japan has been a labour of love and I’m glad it’s found a community of fans.
I am setting up a new paid subscription that includes a way to support me monetarily if that’s something of interest. Don’t worry, my weekly free posts will always continue as before. Commenting on these posts will always be free and I love hearing all the ideas and the in depth responses everyone seems to have.
For those who are happy with the free tier, please keep reading and commenting as before. I love sharing what I find interesting from Japan and making it available to those who live here, plan to visit or just want to experience it through my eyes.
What do you get as a paid subscriber? Beyond the bragging rights of being among the first to represent me, I will be creating a quarterly Ask Me Anything, and posting occasional special posts for the paid tier. I’ll also have a monthly Open Thread for paid subscribers that I will participate in.
